Antique 1910s S. Iida & Co "Takashimaya" silk kimono (founded 1831). Purple silk with a slightly deeper purple embroidered motif of Japanese wisteria trailing vine and butterflies. Very detailed embroidery. Lined in lavender colored silk. Gorgeous antique kimono, similar to one by S. Iida at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Condition: Very Good. Interior lining has scattered age staining, exterior only has one nickel sized (possible bleach) mark on left arm (see photo) Otherwise in excellent shape, holds up and presents beautifully.
